It's Your Life… What You Gonna Do?

So here I sit in my living room a couple days after Christmas thinking- thinking about what you may ask…Well my answer is quite weird.. I’m thinking about how the Bengals are winning right now, I’m thinking about the lunch I just had with my family, I’m thinking about the sermon from church this morning, but mostly I’m thinking about the conversation I just had with some of my best friends last night.  The topic of conversation was “What’s next in life after college?? Where are you going to end up?” and honestly it got me to thinking– yeah I know I have a couple years to think about it– but honestly that couple of years goes by really fast and pretty soon it is just a couple of weeks before you graduate.  This could be a problem or it could be a crazy solution– who knows! So anyways– back to what this post is really about– it’s about the places you’ll go! You know that Dr. Seuss book that everyone always gets when they graduate from high school– that is always in a Graduation speech or a Graduation sermon– honestly as helpful as I think it is to high school graduates I think that it might be even more helpful to college graduates… Because college is what prepares you for the real world and the places you’ll go! Mount Vernon is one of those places that you can go to help you prepare for the grown up world! It’s a place that will guide you, teach you and shape you for the world outside of school! So whether you plan to go to a different country, a different state or simply move to a different street in your home town, Mount Vernon is a place that will prepare you for the move in more ways then you know! I’m still processing where the places are that I will go and the things that I will do, but I know one thing– God will lead the way and MVNU will help along the way!
